Some Turkish goods cross the Russian border, world scale producer resumes operations
Delays in Turkish goods import due to tightened customs control on the Russian border caused downtime at a world-scale producer’s plant due to lack of components.
German BOSCH-SIEMENS company has resumed production operations at its facilities near Saint-Petersburg after a brief downtime since December 11 due to lack of components.
According to the company representatives production of refrigerators was delayed due to the same reasons but was to be resumed upon the arrival of necessary components on December 21.
In the beginning of December Saint-Petersburg deputy mayor Sergey Movchansent a declaration to the Russian Federation State Customs Committeestating that in order for one of the most prominent facilities in the region to be able to function properly, customs clearance for Turkish components should be simplified.
